ESSENCE OF IVS

ESSENCE OF IVS

The Essence of the International Vedanta Society is as follows---

1) There is nothing except Brahman, Atman or God.

2) Brahmajnana, Atmanjnana or Self-realization is the only objective of life. Traditionally, this knowledge is transmitted by the Guru and hence adherence to the Guru is indispensable.

3) The embodiment of love, Sri Sri Bhagavan, is the founder and core of International Vedanta Society.

4) The main objective of this organization is to make people cognizant about the existence of God, teach the process of attaining God and spread the essence of Self -realization or Atmanjnana.

5) The International Vedanta Society, the server of humanity, is spreading this essence through the medium of love and Mahamantra, "Hare Krishna".

FIVE DIVINE COMMANDS

* Practice Vedanta daily.
* Preach Vedanta daily.
* Take food in return of work.
* Be sincere in the service of Guru.
* Shed your life in worship of God.

THE LOGO OF IVS

The logo of International Vedanta Society signifies that the tides of our mind only on the surface, just as the ocean full of tides but only near to the sore. But the deep inside there is no tide, no hue and cry. The above blue sky which symbolies that there is no boundary of our self which has no bondage.

THE MOTTO OF IVS

The motto of International Vedanta Society.---Realisation of Self and wellbeing of the universe.

MEDITATE.
READ VEDANTA.
TAKE CARE OF HEALTH.
AVOID MISUSE.
THINK OF OTHERS.
BE SELF-RELAENT AND TRUE.
CULTIVATE LOVE.
EXPAND THY HEART.
BELIEVE ON GOD, GURU, SCRIPTURES AND SELF.
BECOME PERFECT.
GIVE UP SPIRITUAL EGO AT LAST.
SAY ‘HARE KRISHNA’.
