A JOINT VENTURE

There are people around ready to pull you down
Down-down-down, till you hit the ground.

There are situations ready to drag you down
Down-down-down, till you hit the ground.

But
You don’t blame them for you are not ready,
Ready as yet to take the leap upward
You have not prepared yourself for the journey.

Remember, you have to go defying the
The force of gravity, that takes effort,
Years of sustained effort and planning, and
A strong will force.

Everyone says take God’s help. But you
Keep on saying to yourself day in and day
Out:
I have nothing to worry about.
Nothing can bother me.
Nothing can disturb me.
I have God as my partner
It’s a joint venture.

Nothing truly great was achieved
Nothing truly great was ever achieved
Nothing truly great can ever be achieved
Until

Your will and God’s will
Your desire and God’s desire
Your effort and God’s effort
Meet and coincide.
